Miner is the newest ground troop in
Clash of Clans that is added on May 24th update. This troop is unlocked at level 12 barracks. It borrows underground and passes through walls without using a jump spell and attacks the closest building to them.

"These sneaky shovelers burrow underground, pass beneath walls and pop up right next to their targets. While underground, Miners cannot be damaged and will not trigger traps, but still gain bonuses from Spells."
