I think these 3 base designs are a great layout to use against attackers. You have strong farming and hybrid base setups that are not predictable, the attacker will get a hard time on farming or looting your resources. Most likely their attacked will end to none.

Most of the time Clashers use this kind or set of troops attack combination (Anti- Gowipe, Anti-goho, Etc.) for this level. Th8 (Anti-GoWiPe/Hog/Dragloon/Lavaloon) War Base Layout (+Video)

Jaso a youtuber known as making Clash of Clans designs shares an Anti-everything war base layout for Town Hall 8.

If you always got 3-starred by your opponents try to use this base it has a lot of great features like Anti-Gowipe which Golem, Wizard, and Pekka (GoWiPe) attack is very popular attack on this level.

Other features of this base are Anti-hog, Anti-Lavaloon and Anti-Dragloon which are very effective attack strategy when used well.

Above video shows some of its defensive replay during clan war. He also called this as Deadzone defense strategy an anti-3star war base layout. Watch timelapse video speed build below.

Anti 3-star mid war base for Th8 (ANTI-DRAG & ANTI-GOWIPE)

It's Features:

Good things about this base is that it was protected by a high health buildings, the storage. It's very difficult to go through the core of the base. The Storage blocks way giving dragon a hard time to destroy it. The dragon must destroy it very fast but unfortunately buildings had high health points it will be easily taken out by the Air-defense which is positioned behind the storage.
Added air defense building: Air Sweeper, great help with the new building air sweeper to make all dragons to push back. Tweak good position for this one.
Air traps, Good placement of Air-traps will clear those attackers troops
Strong for GOWIPE attacks, I swear all attacker use this combination will not gonna get 3-stars. (Town Hall 8 level attackers only)

Anti Dragon, Th8 War Base Layout With Air Sweeper

This Anti dragon base will fit for the new update, which there will be another Air Sweeper available on TH8. Try it and tell us what happen when you use this Town Hall 8 war base layout.

How this War Base Works:

Obviously this base is for Dragons, so it will be strong against a mass dragon attack. Otherwise you succeeded on the attack. Send us a feedback below.

All air defense are in the center.
Hidden Tesla's are also in the center core to support Air Defense.
A little tweak on the traps placement to make it hard for GiWi attacks.

New Th8 War Base Layout with Air Sweeper, The Freyede by Rodrigo Minerva

Good day clashers! We have here a good Town Hall 8 War Base Layout created by Rodrigo Minerva, The Freyede. Check it out and tell us your thoughts about the it. Be sure to comment below.

Main Features: Th 8 Anti-Hogs and Anti Drags, A deadly base can blast of a massive hogs and drags to stop attacker from 3-star. Centralized 3 air defense + plus double Giant bomb at the bottom area.

- Anti-Hog: the attacker uses a set of hogs, first he will definitely lure out the clan castle troops at the right top of the base. which makes the traps at the bottom to be more effective. He have to use 2-3 hogs to explode o Giant Bomb or else he will not succeed in his attack.

- Anti-drag: Most of the players don't know how to cut defender buildings or Structures that makes the Dragon attack what is near, turning around onto the air def. The attacker must know to deploy Dragon to get perfect 3 star for their clan.

- Defense added: Air Sweeper

Th8 War Base Layout, (ANTI-GOWIPE & DRAG) by BreachGamingFR

So, if you experience it also during a war, Attacker uses a 3-starring GoWiPe Attack. You may try this newly made design just right for you, an Anti-Drag and Anti GoWiPe base layout which good for Town Hall 8.

Why not? Use An Anti-GoWiPe For Town Hall Bases for Clan Wars

Not all players in Th8 level are using Mass-drag or Dragloon (Dragons and Balloons) combination for clan wars. Some of them use GoWiPe attack instead. One member says,

"GoWiPe attack is very effective than drag-attack, and it's very challenging. I'll use ground attack instead of air attack."

Th8 War Base Layout, Turn Around by Magik Coc

This war base was created by a certain Magik Coc and called it "turn around". This is an anti-giant, anti- gowipe, and anti-hogs base.

After attacker deploy his troops, On the second layer all troops must begin attacking all defense and will take a tour around the core. An anti-3 stars th8 war base layout, Possible 1-2 star only.

This base is named as a bad base because of it's appearance but actually it's a trap to kill massive troops deployed.
